What is Kirameki?

Kirameki is a rural tourism and cultural exchange project based in Kitahiroshima, Hiroshima. We host travelers, volunteers, and all those who want to experience authentic countryside life, traditional culture, and community connection.

Where are you located?

Kitahiroshima Town in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. The nearest major city is Hiroshima City.

What kinds of programs do you offer?

We provide seasonal stays, cultural experiences, volunteer/homestay programs, group tours, and custom itineraries. Activities include kagura, swordsmithing, farming, sake brewery visits, mochi-making, and more.

How do I book a stay or experience?

You can submit an inquiry through our contact form. We’ll follow up by email to coordinate dates, pricing, and availability.

Do you accept volunteers or interns?

Yes. We welcome volunteers and interns throughout the year (except winter closure). Programs vary by season and project needs.

Is there an age limit?

Most programs are open to ages 18 and up. Some cultural workshops may allow younger participants with a guardian.

What languages do you support?

English and Japanese.

When is the best season to visit?

Spring and fall are the most popular. Summer offers vibrant festival energy. We are closed in winter.

Do you offer custom itineraries?

Yes. We can design tailored programs for individuals, families, and organizations based on interests such as food, culture, outdoor activities, or rural revitalization.

How do payments work?

Once your itinerary is confirmed, we send an invoice. Payments are typically made by bank transfer or credit card (depending on the program).

Can businesses or creators collaborate with Kirameki?

Yes. We work with local partners, companies, creators, and investors who align with our mission. Please use the partnership inquiry form.

Do you provide accommodation?

Yes. We partner with local inns, guesthouses, and farms. Lodging depends on your program type and season.

Is transportation included?

Local transport is included for most guided experiences. Airport transfers or long-distance transport can be arranged at additional cost.

Are your programs beginner-friendly?

Yes. No experience is required for cultural activities or volunteer work. Our local partners guide you through everything.
